Hey all,  I think you’re really going to enjoy our new fishing report.  The fish are looking up!!

The salmon fly hatch is stronger than we have seen the past 2 years and it’s coming up River.  Along side the salmon flies, we have started to see the occasional golden stone and some little black stones.  The river dropped below 5ft and is continuing to drop.  Our guides have been cutting off the dropper and getting lots of eats on big foam.

North of Stanley is fishing but still on the slower side.  Once the stocking starts in that area I’ll let you folks know.  Summer is here.  Dry fly fishing is here!

Middle Fork of the Salmon; The Middle Fork has turned ON the past week.  Water levels have dropped and clarity is fantastic. We have heard rumors of epic Salmon Fly hatches coming from the Frank Church.  The fish are looking up and hungry after a long high-water season.  Stoneflies are working on the Upper River, while big foam is the choice  on the middle and lower canyon.

Lakes;  The lakes around Stanley are continuing to fish fair.  The hatchery has started its stocking program in some but not all Lakes.  Capehorn Lake #1, Perkins Lake, hatchery kids pond, Dredge Pond #1 and #4.

Alpine Lakes;  High elevation lakes are continuing to thaw, there’s still patchy ice but we’ve seen a pretty significant decrease in the last week.  They should be fishing well soon!

Drop the shop, we are open 7 days a week.  You can also Book Online  our fully guided Float Fly Fishing trips all summer long.  We limit guided trip to 3 boats a day to maximize the experience, minimizes pressure on the fish and maximizing catch rate.

Tight Lines,

Joshua
